24/7 Emergency Electrician
Real people, any hour
Electrical emergencies don't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Call and you'll reach J Prime Electric, day or night, for homes and businesses across Anne Arundel County.
We make the situation safe first, find the cause, and explain your options. Many emergencies are fixed on the first visit; bigger repairs like a panel replacement can often be done right away.
Some problems are on our side of the meter and some are on the utility's. If a storm brought down the service drop or the whole street is dark, we'll tell you, so you can report it to the utility (BGE across most of Anne Arundel County, Pepco in parts of Prince George's County). If the damage is to your panel, meter base or wiring, we make it safe and repair it, including emergency panel replacement.

After a Storm on the Water
Waterfront homes in Pasadena, Edgewater and Annapolis take the brunt of wind and flooding. If water reached outlets or equipment, keep away and call. We check what was affected before anything is switched back on.
Older homes in Glen Burnie, Annapolis and Severna Park often have wiring and panels that have been modified many times. A burning smell or a warm outlet is a reason to call right away, any hour.
When a store, office or restaurant loses power, every hour counts. We respond to commercial outages and failed equipment across Annapolis, Baltimore and the surrounding counties.
Still have a question?Call or text any time. We're open 24 hours, 7 days a week. (443) 515-0559
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. J Prime Electric is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, including nights and weekends.
How do I reach you in an emergency?
Call (443) 515-0559. Calling is fastest in an emergency; you can also text the same number. If there is fire or smoke, call 911 first.
Do you handle commercial emergencies?
Yes. We respond to homes and businesses.
What should I do before you arrive?
If there's fire or smoke, call 911. Otherwise keep people away from the problem and, only if it's safe to reach, switch off the breaker for that circuit. Don't try to repair it yourself.
Is my outage the utility's problem or mine?
If your neighbors are also out, it's usually the utility, so report it to your utility, BGE or Pepco. If only your home or part of it is out, or you see damage at the meter or panel, call us.
Can you replace a panel in an emergency?
Yes. If a panel fails, is burning or was damaged, call (443) 515-0559 any time. Emergency panel replacement is part of our 24-hour service.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. J Prime Electric is licensed and insured.
What areas do you serve?
Annapolis and all of Anne Arundel County, plus Bowie, Baltimore, Howard County and Queen Anne's County (including Kent Island). We also take jobs in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Call or text (443) 515-0559 to check your address.
